Boarding pass disappeared

My boarding pass removed itself from my app because my fight was delayed.. Im standing in the TSA like with my mobile boarding pass.. Get to the front of the line and then boarding pass magically gone.. The flight was delayed hours and this app was too immature to recognize that and removed the pass.. Unbelievable.

Great new mobile experience

Im really excited about where SWA is going with their new app. Theyre clearly reinvesting in mobile, which is refreshing compared to their old app experience. New design looks good, works simply, and is intuitive. It would be great to see more frequent updates with new features (I would pay at least $9.99 for pro feature ghat gave me a check-in reminder). Would also love to see an Apple Watch companion too. Keep it up SWA!

BEWARE - Do Not Cancel Flight Using App!

Beware - do not attempt to cancel a flight via the Southwest airlines app. I recently attempted to cancel a flight using the app, received confirmation from the app that the flight had been cancelled and credited to my account. The next day when I was scheduled to fly I received an e-mail from Southwest stating that I was a “no show.” After a lengthy conversation with a “supervisor” in the call center I was offered no recourse and basically accused of lying about the cancellation. I have read several other incidents of this happening but Southwest refuses to acknowledge this as an ongoing issue. Beware of using the Southwest iOS app to cancel a flight and may be worth considering avoiding the airline all together based on this experience.

Love the app but cant download

My phone wont download the new version and wont allow me to use the new version. Im not sure if this an issue with the app or my phone. I dont have issues downloading other apps. So, if Im ever able to download the new one then maybe Ill like it more and post a new review.

Older app version without compatibility

I dont have iOS 8.0 on my device. So the App Store says "hey do you want to download an older version of this app?" Yes, please. And then the older version opens to say you need to upgrade, with no ability to cancel out and use that app. So, Southwest, why offer the older app for download if you dont plan on supporting it?

Bad, Bad, Bad

This app is very stupid. The app is diffuclt to use and ask you many information about yourself. I go ahead to answer questions and then it wont let me in. Waste of time! Please get rid of this app.

Terrible!

Cant view boarding passes for my whole family. The app seems to randomly select a member of my party to display. I have no confidence that this app wont do something to corrupt my reservation. I love flying Southwest, but this app really needs work.

Simple but keeps freezing

iOS 8.0.2 iPhone 5 When choosing dates for the booking a flight it freezes and I am stuck on the calendar page unable to leave the page or move forward. I can choose dates, reset it but that is it. :| - basically I cant book a flight via the mobile app

Wrong boarding pass appears

Im traveling with my wife on the same reservation. We both use the app. When checking in on this trip however, my boarding pass shows up on my wifes app and her pass appears on my app. We cannot access our own boarding passes. This happened on both legs of our trip, most recently this morning. The app is unusable in this state; please fix this!

SW app wont allow international booking

I just downloaded the SW app to my iPod touch and discovered that the app wont allow booking an international flight. That makes the app useless to me. I will probably delete it.

Manage trips

There is a link to manage your trips, however, no matter how recently I purchased my trip it says "You have no upcoming trips". Also, I wanted to use a credit that I have, but there is no place in the purchase transaction that allows for credits/codes/etc. I like the ease of booking flights, but would love to see these two features implemented!

Lost my flights

I did the most recent update and the app no longer shows my upcoming flights.

Dont use an iPad

Update: So, the app is improving. Kudos. How about making it smarter? It would be nice if I didnt have to log-in with my password each time I use it. Touch-I.D. should have already been implemented. Also, why do you make me select the way I wish to be notified for each reservation, as though I havent already told you that? And having to type in my email address is annoying - you already have it! I know this because Ive typed it in over and over again, AND because of all the email advertising you send me. The idea of an app is supposed to be quick and efficient. Old Review: Luckily Southwest has better pilots than app writers. Great airline, lame app. This "Upgrade" is a huge disappointment. And no iPad app? You have to run the iPhone-only app on the iPad, which is kludgey. Oddly, the icon on my phone is normal while the iPad icon only shows a placeholder. Southwest: you can do better.

Simply poor

Ranks as the least function ap relative to other carriers. Boarding pass to wallet doesnt update refresh. Ability to manage your flight very limited. Once you check in or search for your flight - it doesnt log/remember - so you have to enter in reservation confirmation number repeatedly. Numerous overall limitations/frustrations.Overall - its a dog of an ap.

Works great

The app works great for me. Could you please bring back the last screen the way it used to be when it shows the price of a flight to buy. It used to have it so that it was all on one screen shot. It was great to be able to send to friends that I check prices for. Now its two different screens to get the shot. Thanks

Add a feature

This would be a great app if you would add TouchID. Otherwise the app will remain cumbersome to use.

Every update seems to break something

It used to be that my wife would automatically have her Companion tickets added to her own RR account. She is A List on her own and not having A list on boarding pass means no access to expedited bag check and other A List benefits. Now we have to manually enter her RR number for every companion ticket in order to have the correct status show on the boarding pass. We have not found a way to do this with the app. Regardless of ticket category she has still earned A List benefits...why not make it automatic like it used to be? In a previous review I have questioned whether real customers are involved in the app development process. I continue to wonder....

Log in

I dont like the behavior of the password field at log in. If I make a typo and press the backspace key to correct, the entire password field clears. I dont like having to type the whole password again, especially if my typo was in one of the last characters. This makes logging in a hassle.

Not quite there

Need the feature to track my airplane all the way leading up to my flight. United has this option in their app and its an awesome feature to have to tracking your flights status.
